Doutor Coffee procures coffee beans from about 20 countries around the world, including Kona, a Hawaii farm with its own farm. Only high quality green beans that pass the strict "Doutor standards" are transported to Doutor's roasting factory.
Coffee can be created a variety of flavors by blending beans with different characteristics. Advanced technology roasts each peculiar bean at the same time and finishes it with a mellow finish and a harmonious overall taste.
Doutor roasting employs direct-fire roasting and takes about three times as long as hot-air roasting. This is to make fragrant and tasty coffee that Doutor is ideal for. In addition, it is only Doutor's technology that can roast such a large amount of beans over an open fire.
In 1980, Doutor Coffee Shop was born in Harajuku, Tokyo, as a European style standing coffee shop.
First the price of coffee was set at 150 yen (at that time), and it was set based on the idea that it would not be a burden for people to drink every day.
